Insignia launch revolutionary new bathroom product

Insignia, one of the leading luxury showers brands in the UK has launched a unique fixing and sealing product for the bathroom.

The new product has undergone extensive research and development, and is a new sealing gum which Insignia state is not just simpler to use than traditional silicone but through a unique process, extremely strong, capable of cementing items to the wall and floor.

Designed primarily as a fixing and watertight seal for toilets, basins and shower cubicles, RubberGum offers some unique features:

  • Available on a roll, RubberGum has a blu-tack consistency and can be moulded in any shape or direction
  • Rubbergum uses a unique molecular compound which becomes stronger under pressure, compressing to form a tight seal
  • Under pressure, RubberGum will press out any imperfections and potential holes that ordinarily would cause a leak. This does not happen with silicone, as once it is applied and begins to cure, if there are imperfections, or minute holes they will remain
  • RubberGum can be re-positioned several times, whilst always remaining fresh on the roll
  • Can be trimmed easily to leave a neat finish
  • Unlike silicone where you have to wait for it to cure for up to 24 hours, RubberGum is instant and does not require any curing time.

Leon Maclean, MD at Insignia said: “We’ve been developing this product over the last few years and it offers something completely unique to the marketplace.  The ease of use of RubberGum over more traditional bathroom sealants is one of the strongest selling points, and it will both appeal to skilled tradesman and DIY enthusiasts looking for a sealing product which is easier to use than traditional alternatives.”

He added: “RubberGum is a very versatile product, so it also has potential outside the bathroom, as a general all purpose sealant and cement.”

A RubberGum pack contains 1680mm strip, 15mm wide strip.  Prices retail at £9.95 a roll.  For more information visit www.insigniarange.co.uk
