WINDHAGER WELCOMES EIGHT NEW STAFF TO EXPANDING TEAM

Biomass heating experts, Windhager UK has expanded its team and welcomes eight new members of staff across the company.

The company, based in South Gloucestershire, has created several positions in the sales, technical and administration departments to provide additional support and expertise after experiencing an increase in demand for biomass since the launch of the Government’s domestic RHI scheme in early 2014.

Windhager has experienced a significant growth in sales in both the domestic and commercial markets which has required additional support from the sales team and as a result has appointed two new areas sales representatives for Wales and the South East of England.

Leigh Williams joins Windhager with 26 years’ experience in the heating industry working with many of the big companies and has been dedicated to the renewables market for the past 10 years. Leigh holds a diploma in sales management and will take charge of all sales activities in Wales where he will be locally based to ensure that all customers’ needs are prioritised.

Also joining the Windhager sales team is Simon Baker who will be working with customers in East Anglia and South East England. Simon has 30 years’ experience in the heating industry and has spent seven years within the manufacturing sales sector.

Windhager’s specialist sales team work across the UK to generate sales opportunities and work closely with local installers to provide sustainable heating solutions for the commercial and domestic markets.

Andrew Manship, Darin Gebbie, Derek Richardson have all also joined the Windhager team as experienced service engineers with relevant qualifications to the heating industry. The service engineer team is responsible for the commissioning and maintenance of Windhager boilers nationwide.

Mark Traynor has also joined Windhager’s engineering department as Design and Specifications engineer. Mark comes to Windhager with over 10 years of experience within the construction and heating industry which included running his own company. Mark also has an extensive knowledge of CAD design which he gained through his mechanical engineering background.

For the past five years Windhager has always offered free product and biomass training to installers across the UK, hosted at its headquarters in Marshfield, South Gloucestershire. This has proved to be extremely popular amongst installers and with the launch of the Windhager Installer Network scheme is expected to continue to be much in demand. With this Windhager has employed Paris Meakin as the company’s Training Administrator who will work on co-ordinating all Windhager and HETAS training courses. Lee Leonard has also joined the administration team as HR and Office Co-ordinator with experience in office management to ensure that the Windhager HQ continues to run efficiently.

Windhager has had an extremely successful year with sales of its new BioWIN2 domestic biomass boiler exceeding all expectations. The company has also recently introduced new products, including the DuoWIN boiler and MyComfort remote heating control technology, as well as the Windhager Installer Network offering installers across the UK additional support through its membership.
