Global outsourcing company Teleperformance expands at one of Bristol’s most prominent office buildings

JLL brokered the deal, one of the largest office lettings in the city centre last year

BRISTOL, 10 January 2019 – Teleperformance, a leading global customer service outsourcing company, has more than doubled its office space at Spectrum Bristol in one of the largest office letting deals in the city centre last year. Property consultancy JLL in Bristol brokered the deal working with V7 as the asset managers on behalf of the owners Affinity Global Real Estate. Spectrum Bristol is one of the city’s most prominent and distinctive office buildings fronting Bond Street and located opposite Cabot Circus.

Teleperformance currently has over 500 employees in Bristol, who are based across both Spectrum Bristol and a site in Moon Street. The expanded office space at Spectrum will be used to provide further quality space for its growing customer operations whilst being the UK registered office and home to its head office functions including finance, IT, risk, HR and business development

The firm has taken a further 15,190 sq ft in the building and re-geared its existing lease of 10,000 sq ft. Combined, this represents one of the largest deals of 2018 in the Bristol city centre office lettings market.

Since buying the building three years ago, the landlord has invested heavily in refurbishing the space.

Robert Whitton, chief executive of Affinity Global Real Estate, the landlord of Spectrum Bristol, said: “In a market where demand for high quality offices is continually outstripping supply, the refurbishment of Spectrum Bristol has helped to deliver much-needed modern, flexible workspace. It’s excellent news that Teleperformance has decided to invest in expanding its offices at Spectrum Bristol, representing a sign of confidence in the city.”

Hannah Waterhouse, director at JLL in Bristol, said: “This latest letting means the entire ground floor of Spectrum Bristol is now let and the landlord can now push the button on the refurbishment of the last remaining floor.”

Karl Wise, chief financial officer at Teleperformance, added: “The new additional space in Spectrum Bristol enables Teleperformance to further progress its strategy of expanding into great working environments that benefit our employees and are representative of the clients and brands we support. Teleperformance is a strategic partner to the world’s leading companies, bringing solutions and enhancing customer experience during each interaction. The new space will deliver customer operations from a Bristol based team that is highly skilled, deeply knowledgeable, supported with a wide range of integrated omnichannel solutions, technology, and the highest security standards.”

JLL is joint agents with Knight Frank at Spectrum Bristol and LSH manages the building. Compton Rose advised Teleperformance in the deal.

Spectrum is a 114,000 sq ft six-storey office building with secure parking providing high quality, modern, flexible office suites from around 3,251 sq ft. The remodelled reception provides an open contemporary space and a spacious break-out area.

This landmark building is situated at the foot of the M32 within a quarter of a mile of Bristol Bus Station and 15 minutes’ walk from Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station.
