THE POLAND UK CREATIVE SEASON 2025 TOOK SPOTLIGHT AT MOROSO WITH ‘CURATED CONNECTIONS – CHAPTER 1: COLOUR & CRAFT’ – A PRESENTION OF POLISH CREATIVITY, IDENTITY, AND INNOVATION IN DIALOGUE WITH LEADING INTERNATIONAL DESIGN VOICES.

As part of the UK Poland Creative Season 2025, ‘Curated Connections Chapter 1: Colour & Craft’ opened at Moroso London during Clerkenwell Design Week with a dedicated exhibition and panel discussion celebrating Poland’s evolving role on the global creative stage. A timely and thought-provoking presentation bringing material culture, innovation, and dialogue into the heart of London’s design district.

The installation brought together Polish design studios UAU Project, Agnieszka Bar, Malwina Konopacka, and Zieta Studio with works that span 3D printing, glass, ceramics, and experimental metal technology – a collection that represents the strength and diversity of Poland’s design landscape. Installed throughout the Moroso London showroom, the exhibition curated by On&On Design and supported by the Polish Cultural Institute presented new and recent works by each studio, carefully set against Moroso’s own latest collections from Milan Design Week 2025. Together, the pieces explored how colour and materiality shape design narratives, and how cultural identity is expressed through form, surface, and process.

An Evening of Design and Dialogue
The opening night featured a panel discussion titled ‘Living with Colours’ which drew a full audience of architects, designers, curators, and cultural professionals. Moderated by Pip Rich, Editor of Livingetc, the conversation brought Polish and international perspectives to the subject of colour as a tool for emotional and spatial storytelling in design. Joining Rich on the panel were Justyna Fałdzińska, co-founder of UAU Project, known for their colourful, 3D-printed collections using biodegradable bioplastics, Giorgia Zanellato, designer of the ‘Mangiafuoco’ and ‘Clay’ collections for Moroso, and Laura Perryman, leading colour researcher and author of ‘Colour Bible’. The discussion ranged from the sensory language of colour to its political and emotional symbolism in both domestic and public spaces. The panellists explored the value of play and interaction in the design process, themes which echoed in several of the works on display.

“Moroso is delighted to collaborate and showcase the work of these gifted designers, says Andrea Bazzaro, EVP of Moroso Ltd., “Their creations embody the pursuit of beauty, the passion for research, and the significance of craft — all fundamental principles that underpin our brand and our daily endeavours.”

Agnieszka Bar exhibited a series of hand-blown glass vessels that combine colour, tactility, and symbolism through handmade and balanced elegance. On display where ‘Vibrant Seeds’, free-formed pieces that appear to pulse with life and light, and ‘Ground’, created using tinted glass and woven wicker moulds that reference earth tones and organic forms; a merging of two of Bar’s core practices – glassmaking and basketry.

Zięta Studio, founded by architect and innovator Oskar Zięta, presented pieces from the iconic Tafla Collection, a series of steel bionic mirrors in organic shapes inspired by the natural shapes of liquid drops. Using the studio’s signature FiDU expanding metal-inflation process, the pieces explored the relationship between surface, sound, and spatial perception. Constantly innovating, Zięta Studio unveils ‘Whispers’ installation this season as part of the Festival of Architecture 2025

A Season of Collaboration and Cultural Exchange
‘Curated Connections: Polish Design across London’ is one of a series of three headline design programmes curated by On & On Designs within the Poland–UK Creative Season 2025. A yearlong initiative from the Polish Cultural Institute and British Council, the season celebrates the shared values of innovation, creativity, and cultural dialogue between the two countries through exhibitions, talks, residencies, and cross-sector events. The presentations invite you to see Poland differently: as a bold, design-forward nation blending material mastery with cutting-edge tech and its growing influence on the global design stage.

‘Curated Connections: Chapter 1 – Colour & Craft’ sets the tone for the season: optimistic, forward-looking, and deeply rooted in material and cultural exploration. The next chapters in the Curated Connections series continues across London in the coming months, expanding the narrative around Polish design with new partners, disciplines, and perspectives. It is co-produced with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the Polish Cultural Institute in London, Let’s Art Foundation, and On & On Designs as part of the 2025 UK/Poland Culture and Creative Season.
