As a teaser for the upcoming Culture and Creative UK/Poland Season 2025, this month sees the opening of ‘Through Process to Progress’; a five-week exhibition by esteemed Polish designer Oskar Zięta at Loop Generation.
Realised through the collaboration of leading cultural partners from both Poland and the UK, this stunning exhibition represents the first presentation by Zięta as part of the Culture and Creative UK/Poland Season taking place March to November 2025, where Zięta will also be presenting an innovative project in the Fleet Street Quarter as part of this inspiring creative season.
‘Through Process to Progress’ heralds the Polish and British creative union partnering Zieta Studio, Loop Generation, BGY ID, On&On Designs, Let’s Art Foundation and the Polish Cultural Institute. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience Zięta’s air-sculpted metal creations which embody an ongoing design process, at sustainable fashion house ‘Loop Generation’s’ Chelsea location from 13 September until 20 October. An exhibition that showcases the latest developments in technology, design approaches, and production methods.
Zięta’s exhibition presents a curated display of unique transdisciplinary designs. Each piece created from the experimentation of unique flagship FiDU technology transforming metal sheets into three dimensional marvels in the form of interdisciplinary objects and art pieces from blown Inox stainless steel.
Process designers that achieve ‘a controlled loss of control’ Zieta Studio encompasses architects, designers, engineers, and technologists; a studio that explores the intersection of technology, art and design guided by minimalism in form and material efficiency at the conceptual level to create durable, mono-material, recyclable objects.
The overarching goal of their research into their proprietary FiDU technology is to maximize the reduction of material and energy used for production Approaching the circular economy literally, sustainability forms a critical aspect of their work; each creative process led by the core responsibility they undertake with the notion that ‘less is less’.
“How do you take a flat sheet of steel and inflate it like a balloon to create iconic pieces” says designer Oskar Zięta. “Sometimes errors inspire the most. A manufacturing error inspired a new process which has formed the iconic designs presented at ‘Through Process to Progress’, and we are thrilled to partner with esteemed representatives across the Polish and British design and cultural spectrum.”
‘Through Process to Progress’ is an exhibition that underlines the cultural and creative partnership between Poland and the UK; a partnership with a cultural growth that is firmly established. Renowned interior design and architecture firm BGY ID have curated the exhibition designing a visitor journey that leads through a sensory exploration fusing fashion, design and sustainability.
“During the design process for the exhibition, we strove to work within the delicate and personal environment of Loop Generations, adding Oskar’s work in a way that animated it, but also sat within the approach of the Store, so each piece is engaged with not just viewed,’ says Timothy Shepherd, Co-curator, MD BGY ID. ‘Oskar is the epitome of his work. He is as much a piece of moving sculpture himself, as he is part of all he produces. We look forward to a future of further collaborations.”
Leading design promoters On&On Designs who are experts in facilitating collaboration between designers, companies, cultural institutions, and international partners produced and co-curated the installation in partnership with the Polish Cultural Institute and the Let’s Art Foundation.
The exhibition takes place at Loop Generation, the esteemed sustainable fashion house committed to presenting mindful purchasing decisions, reducing needless consumption and quality and renowned for meticulously selected exclusive, sustainable pre-loved fashion.
The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, as part of preparations for the upcoming UK/Poland Season 2025, organised in collaboration with the British Council. An award-winning Process Design Studio experimenting with the advanced metal forming. Through a synergy of technology, art and design, they deliver innovative forms to those who are equally fascinated by both, the material and its narrative. Their works are the result of years of study of the properties of metal and the proprietary FiDU method of forming steel with an internal pressure to create objects/sculptures that provoke the senses. Normally designers draw up a shape or a particular object and then attempt to adapt the technology to it. Zięta controls the production process and the actual form results from it.
