Panasonic distributor, Logicool, recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a Go-Karting event in Tamworth.
Customers and representatives from Panasonic joined the Logicool team at Daytona Racing in Tamworth to commemorate this important milestone. With 30 participants racing was very competitive, with lap times increasing as confidence grew and fun being enjoyed over the one-hour endurance race.
Victors in the challenge were long-term customer, Paul Hetherington from Intermech Ltd and his race partner, Steve Hardiman from Logicool. The team sped to the top of the leader board, with Marc Newbold and Alister Bolstridge of Aircon Services Tamworth (a company has been purchasing equipment for every one of the ten years Logicool is celebrating), coming in a close second. Another long-term client, John Lewis of Brookair Danfab Ltd and his Go-Karting partner Dan Lewis of Logicool battling into third place. Hadyn Oxlyn and Indi Thamvithian from Panasonic were awarded the wooden spoon trophy for receiving the most black-flags and driving over the grass verges during the race.
It was a fun way to celebrate 10 years in business as Paul Hetherington, MD of Intermech Ltd commented “Karl and the team at Logicool have an in-depth understanding of the industry, coupled with their consistent reliability, has kept us coming back as a repeat customer over the ten-year business relationship. Furthermore, all the team at Logicool are a real pleasure to do business with.”
The fun was then transferred to an enjoyable evening at the nearby New Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield for a delicious three course dinner, during which Karl Richardson reflected on his first ten years in business: “The last 10 years have seen us witness numerous challenges and experience unforgettable high points that have made us what we are today.” Karl continued by thanking his wife and fellow director, Gill Richardson along with the team of 15 employees for their continued support and added, “The Logicool business retains a strong ethos promoting respect, standards and teamwork throughout our involvement in the supply chain. We aim to continue to grow our Panasonic Air Conditioning sales by continuing to deliver great customer service whilst also focusing on emerging products and technologies. We expect that this will include growing sales in Heat Exchangers, Air to Water, Chillers, Air Handling Units and IT Cooling. What we will not do however is to lose the focus on our clients that have got us to where we are today. Our strategy is to grow together with partners such as Panasonic.”
The evening ended with Enrique Vilamitjana, Managing Director of Panasonic Air Conditioning & Heating Europe congratulating the team at Logicool with a commemorative wall plaque and of course a birthday cake to help celebrate this important occasion. Enrique Vilamitjana said “Karl Richardson has an exemplary CV which spans over 25 years in the industry. He has led the Logicool team well with a clear vision and determination to keep focused on where the business needs to be. We at Panasonic look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”
