SMALL HOUSEBUILDER REPORTS BOOMING NORTH

Housebuilder Kebbell has reported booming sales in the North of the country following the launch of the fourth phase of their Scarborough development with eight homes already snapped up before the show home has even opened its doors. The remaining home at Harvest View in the picturesque village of Bishop Monkton, near Harrogate, has now also been reserved, and Kebbell is maintaining its commitment to the region by bringing a number of new sites through the planning process.

Cornelian Fields in Scarborough is nearing completion of its third phase with just a handful of four bedroom homes remaining available at the coastal development. Cornelian Fields has so far comprised 132 homes in the first three phases. The fourth phase adds 106 more with all two bedroom homes already being reserved and a number of three and four bedrooms homes receiving offers. The new fourth phase show home is due to open to potential buyers in November. Plans for phase five at Scarborough are already fully underway with build expected to start in 2022.

Andrea Fawell, Sales and Marketing Director at Kebbell says: “We are delighted that Cornelian Fields has been such a runaway success. Demand continually outstrips supply, so we are delighted to now be launching the fourth phase to meet that demand. Before the fourth phase show home even opens, we have already taken eight reservations as part of this phase. The first five homes will be built by December so five happy families will be eating their Christmas lunch in their new homes!”

In light of their continued success in the region, Kebbell is pursuing various planning and development opportunities in a number of areas. In Gainford on Tees, near Darlington, Kebbell continues to work on submitting a suitable planning application for family housing on the land they own. Whilst considerations for a possible development in Linton, on the outskirts of Leeds, and further opportunities back in Bishop Monkton are being explored.

“Yorkshire has a special place in our hearts as a business as we have been building homes and communities in the area for many years now. We have also enjoyed being part of the Skills Village that exists in Scarborough and many of our sub-contractors have successfully trained and recruited young tradespeople who now work on our homes. We take pride in building new local communities in the North with many of our original buyers recommending the growing development to their friends and families.”
