Green Light for the Green Man Lane Regeneration Scheme, Ealing, London

Real announces that a unanimous Resolution to Grant Planning Permission has been given by Ealing Council for the final stage of the multi-phase regeneration scheme, Green Man Lane. The project is being developed by Green Man Lane LLP, a JV partnership between Real and A2Dominion.

This final stage will provide a further 396 new homes, of which 49% are genuinely affordable  in accordance with the Major of London’s definition by habitable room, and will be managed by A2Dominion.  The remaining homes are will be developed for private sale by the Green Man Lane LLP to provide cross subsidy funding for the scheme.

The regeneration project comprises generous community spaces to enhance social cohesion and parity throughout the development. A thoughtful play trail leads through the centre, directing residents from their dwellings to the school along with landscaped courtyards and play areas for a range of ages to improve the neighbourhood facilities.

With sustainability in mind, this final phase connects into the existing centralised energy centre for increased efficiencies for heat and hot water for all residents, along with coordinating the use of combined photovoltaics, green roofs and high grade building fabric for improved insulation.

The project has been designed by Conran & Partners and will be delivered by Real as the main contractor.

Paul Nicholls, CEO of Real Places Ltd says:

“With this permission, and our High Lane scheme, we now have over 900 homes with planning yet to commence, further strengthening our commitment to our develop/contractor model. It is a joy to see this significant scheme in Ealing, west London, move closer towards completion, creating a vibrant and safe community for all its residents. Green Man Lane is a mixed tenure regeneration scheme that works with a well-considered approach, and alongside LB Ealing and A2Dominion, we look forward to completing the next 396 homes over the following years.

Work is anticipated to start on site later in 2023.
