Specialist engineering and design consultancy, Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG), is delighted to announce that Yvonne Ainsworth has been appointed Managing Director with responsibility for its onshore activities.
Recognised internationally as a leader within the geotechnical industry, Yvonne has over 20 years’ experience in geotechnics, deep foundation and basement construction. She is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (FICE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), RoGEP Adviser and experienced ICE Reviewer.
Prior to her promotion to Managing Director (Onshore), Yvonne held the position of Director at GDG since 2019, and over the past four years has developed plans to prepare the business for sustainable growth. Since joining, Yvonne has managed teams of varying sizes and disciplines, overseen the company expand extensively over the years and cultivated her leadership skills for the benefit of the business and its people.

During her career, Yvonne has worked in senior engineering roles in both consulting and contracting, giving her a holistic understanding of the industry and its stakeholders.
