Acoustic experts Woven Image celebrate Acoustic Innovation with two product unveils during London Design Festival

Woven Image, leaders in design-led sustainable acoustic finishes and textiles for the built environment showcases its innovative design portfolio at London Design Festival (14-22 September 2024). As the lead acoustic partner for material intelligence ‘Material Matters’, and the acoustic panel solution of choice for The Collective, Woven Image take centre stage at both locations presenting both new and existing collections

Returning to the Bargehouse for its third year, Material Matters, the only trade focused fair at LDF2024 will be taking residency on London’s bankside for four days (18 – 21 Sept). Attracting 6,000 visitors last year, Woven Image as the lead acoustic partner for 2024 join 55 new and established designers, makers and micro-manufacturers exhibiting at the beautiful authentic four storey Oxo Bargehouse building. Woven Image will be championing acoustic innovation in the main talks area along the theme of Macro Rhythms, presenting an innovative new floor to ceiling 3D formed panel solution; ‘Curtain’, a new collection that embraces a sensory perception while engaging a visual, tactile and aural experience on a macro scale. Accompanying Curtain will be Fuji presented in a curation of shapes and colours as a ceiling display. Fuji, a family of sound absorbing flowing acoustic tiles inspired by modern Japonisme the Fuji Collection of Hachi, Juni, Ku & Roku offer customisable configurations in tile size, colourway, hardware finish and suspension height; a family of 3D designs that uniquely enhance ceiling aesthetics and improve acoustic control, transforming and elevating the entire rooms ambiance. The chosen colour palette of the Material Matters installation is Mint, Dusk and Cream creating a harmonious, delicate and importantly practical ceiling space in the main talks area a; a stunning backdrop to this centre stage. Across town in Shoreditch The Collective is celebrating its 10th birthday during London Design Festival opening the doors of its London studio with a host of events from talks with industry experts, drop in breakfasts and of course a birthday party. Woven Images new collections of floor to ceiling 3D formed panel solutions ‘Curtain’ & ‘Column’ will be showcased throughout the space in mushroom; a subtle warm marle  shade. Column, as the name suggests is inspired by the undulating symmetrical rhythms of the awe-inspiring classical Architecture innovation whilst Curtain, the asymmetrical cousin to column, takes on a more freeform fluid appearance. A slight reduction in depth enables a beautiful contemporary acoustic macro curtain effect where the non-woven materials appear to ebb and flow across a three-dimensional form.

Also, on display will be ‘Orb’ and ‘Isle’, two new precision-cut designs in 80% post-consumer recycled PET 12mm EchoPanel®. Referencing the current trend for checks, plaids and tartans, Isle is a precision-cut geometric grid style design. Textural variation is created within the grid via an offset linework along with the varying depth of the vee groove cuts. A macro elegant tartan design, Isle can also be interpreted to imitate classic hard surfaced ceramic tile work whilst providing a more comforting sensory experience within a commercial interior space. Orb encompasses a simplicity of form whilst referencing an influence from the contemporary art deco style. A bold circular shape is repeated across the panel utilising V- groove cuts to give a subtle textural variation creating a sophisticated modern design. Central line work intersecting the Orb motif allows for a seamless pattern match panel to panel for continuous application along a wall.
