Swedish design publishing house Design House Stockholm continues its core philosophy of ‘Fantasy & Function’ by adding a new addition to their design classics portfolio. Consistently promoting innovative and user-centric design, Design House Stockholm believes that fantasy is not just an indulgence, but an indispensable artistic ingredient in the design process. Merged with functional elements such as technological, ergonomic, and material requirements, fantasy becomes the finishing touch that elevates a project from ordinary to one of a kind. This approach encapsulates the design ethos of the brand and highlights the intrinsic part that fantasy and function plays in the philosophy of Design House Stockholm.

In collaboration with over sixty talented designers, Design House Stockholm has spent nearly three decades supporting creative ideas and bringing them to life through their publishing. Each project or product carries a story that challenges the conventional understanding of function. Through an ongoing exploration of Fantasy and Function, the publishing house continues to redefine what design means and how it can enhance our lives. Creating a home that promotes comfort, relaxation and wellness is crucial and often difficult to achieve, Design House Stockholms’ fantasy and function collection of design classics will enhance the home and bring a sense of calm to the space.
Through a careful balance of imagination and practicality, the designer creates objects that are not just functional, they carry stories and evoke emotions. Some pieces demand attention, asserting their presence, while others remain subtle, waiting for the right moment to reveal their functionality. These designs are as symbolic and poetic as they are functional, with that unexpected element of surprise that sets good design apart from bad. Without fantasy to guide the creative process, we would be left with uninspired creations, which is why Design House Stockholm champion designs that are both exploration of art as well as a process of practicality.
