London Design Festival celebrates the creative scene of our capital city for the 24th year with the inclusion of, arguably, London’s most artistic scene; Soho. Known for its eclectic range of characters, dynamic creative scene and consistent influence on design, Soho will become a focal point for a range of events, installations, talks and collaborations that reflect the district’s unique identity and evolving role within London’s built environment.

The introduction of the Soho District to the London Design Festival this year celebrates one of the capital’s most vibrant and colourful districts. From the 12th to 20th of September, London Design Festival brings together some of the built environment’s most influential voices. Featuring participation from leading architects, F&D specialists, PR and branding agencies, property investors and developers, property management firms, construction and fit-out experts, alongside a wider network of creatives, makers and innovators shaping the future of the city.
Leading the charge is CEO of Informare, Anna King, who comments “We are looking forward to building Soho into the tapestry of the London Design Festival. With the fantastic range of architects and designers and crafts people, it is the perfect hub for bringing together the creative community of Soho. The enthusiasm for the Soho District at LDF this year has been extraordinary – when we made our first eight calls to potential partners, we got eight immediate ‘yes’s’ which reinforces the energy in this area where the landlords and developers share a passion for this unique part of London. With our office base, and headquarters of the Soho District for this year, on Great Chapel Street we know how vibrant this corner of London is and how pivotal it is in the influence of trends, design, and beyond.”
When planning the visual identity for the Soho District, Nicky Young, Creative Director of Informare explains “The Soho District identity takes its visual cues from elements of the red-light district, glowing neon signage and rebellious counterculture. It reflects the rich cultural history, capturing some of the boldness of the music and creative industries that have defined Soho over the past century.”
Through a curated series of experiences, the district will showcase the intersection of design, culture, commerce and community, highlighting Soho’s longstanding reputation as a place where creativity and collaboration thrive. The introduction of Soho to the London Design Festival reinforces the district’s significance as both a historic cultural hub and a forward-looking centre for innovation and design excellence.
Further details, partners, and participating hospitality collaborators will be announced in the coming weeks.
