Luxury vinyl flooring manufacturer, Moduleo, has offered a helping hand to national charity, Walking with the Wounded and DIY SOS’ biggest build to date – its veteran special project, in Manchester, which aired on Wednesday 14th October.
The build was the show’s biggest ever project and saw the transformation of a derelict street in the Newton Heath area of the city, with Moduleo donating 421m2 of flooring.
David Bigland, managing director of Moduleo UK and Eire, comments: “The work that Nick Knowles and his team at DIY SOS has done for these former soldiers is incredible, and we’re thrilled to have been a part of it.
“In just a few short weeks the street has been completely transformed and has now become home for a number of former servicemen and women– many of which have been injured during battle, so it’s amazing that our products have been beneficial in creating that homely feel for so many people.”
Moduleo’s flooring was used throughout ten of the houses. The products used have outstanding durability, scuff and stain-resistance and excellent heat and sound insulation.
Products including the Blackjack Oak and Classic Oak from its Transform collection, and the Country Oak from its Select range were selected for areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, dining rooms and living rooms.
David concludes: “We have absolutely loved being a part of this fantastic project, the street looks incredible and we look forward to working with the DIY SOS team again in the not-too-distant future.”
