Copley Scientific, based on Colwick Quays Business Park (in the Colwick area of Nottingham), has agreed the purchase of a new 10,000 sq. ft. facility to be built close to their existing site.
This marks the first exciting stage of development of a new scheme Quayside Court – one of Nottingham’s first speculative industrial schemes since the recession.
Copley Scientific is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of inhaler test equipment and celebrated its 70th anniversary last year, having been founded in Nottingham in 1946. Work will start on the brand new 10,000 sq. ft. facility this month.
Nottingham based RH Developments, a privately-owned investment and development company who own the site are constructing the unit specifically for Copley Scientific on their new site, Quayside Court.
Max Kwan Group Development Manager at RH Developments comments: “We’re very pleased to be able to assist Copley in their next phase of expansion and work with them to create a new facility to house their growing business.
“Overlooking the River Trent Colwick Quays is already a well-established zone not far from the waterside area which is enjoying a huge amount of investment and regeneration. This new scheme of Quayside Court marks the start of further investment by RH Developments in this exciting and underutilised area of the city. Quayside Court will service local demand from the industrial sector which is an exciting new scheme for Nottingham. “
Mark Tomlinson of FHP Property Consultants commented: “We are delighted that Copley Scientific has committed their future to Colwick Quays Business Park, they are a fantastic local business achieving great things and will only add to the quality of the business park and the wider area.
“Quayside Court will provide much needed units from 2,500 sq. ft. up to 20,000 sq. ft. totalling some 30,000 sq. ft. to service this local demand which has become frustrated by the lack of good quality stock within the area to service business expansions.”
More details on this scheme will follow in due course but for further information please contact Mark Tomlinson on 07916 576 254 or [email protected].
