Businesses are being urged to think about water efficiency in the workplace, as two of the UK’s leading water sector associations – Waterwise and WaterSafe – join forces to persuade consumers to save water.
Waterwise, the leading authority on water efficiency, and WaterSafe, which operates a national register of approved plumbers, are working together to promote the third annual Water Saving Week campaign, which runs from 20 – 24 March 2017.
The interactive campaign aims to raise awareness about how easy it is for everyone to use water wisely, with a different theme for each day of the week.
On Tuesday 21 March 2017, the theme is `Water in your Workplace’ with lots of tips and advice for businesses – many find that when they save water they can also save money on energy and processing costs too.
Julie Spinks, Director of WaterSafe, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Waterwise again to help businesses not only reduce their water waste, but to save money and energy too.
“A WaterSafe-approved plumber can help businesses become more water efficient, for example by introducing products such as tap and shower aerators, which reduce water and energy consumption by adding air to maintain the flow while using less water.
“Plumbers approved through WaterSafe also have the expertise to meet the strict legal requirements for installing pipes and fittings that supply drinking water in the workplace.”
